Sec. 22.612. General Duties.
 
   Within 90 days after it is established, the Commission shall submit its recommendations for the City’s housing policy and housing goals to the Mayor and Council. These initial recommendations shall be based upon recommendations from the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Committee Report.
 
   Every two years thereafter, the Commission shall make recommendations regarding revisions to the City’s housing policy and housing goals and submit them to the Mayor and Council for review. The Mayor and the City Council shall adopt a City housing policy and specific goals and, at least every two years, the Mayor and City Council shall adopt and update with amendments thereto a City housing policy and specific housing goals. The housing policy and goals shall be implemented by the agencies and departments involved in housing production to alleviate, to the extent possible, the City’s affordable housing problems.
 
   The Commission shall present to the Mayor and City Council, within four weeks after the close of each fiscal year, an annual report identifying the work of the Commission during said fiscal year. The Commission shall provide other reports as may be required by the Charter, ordinance, or the City Council.
 
   The Commission shall submit its recommendations and reports to the Community Redevelopment and Housing Committee of the City Council as they become due and available.
