Sec. 20.8.1. Powers and Duties Previously Performed by the City Administrative Office or City Administrative Officer.
 
   In addition to the powers and duties granted to the Office of Administrative and Research Services by Sections 290 through 293 and other provisions of the Charter, on or after July 1, 2000, the Office of Administrative and Research Services shall have the power and duty to perform all powers and duties assigned to the City Administrative Office under any provision of the Administrative Code, Municipal Code, or other City ordinance, except to the extent that the Charter has assigned the power or duty to a different department, office, board or officer. On or after July 1, 2000, the Director of the Office of Administrative and Research Services shall have the power and duty to perform all powers and duties assigned to the City Administrative Officer under any provision of the Administrative Code, Municipal Code, or other City ordinance, except to the extent that the Charter has assigned the power or duty to a different department, office, board or officer. On or after July 1, 2000, any provision of the Administrative Code, Municipal Code, or other City ordinance that refers to the City Administrative Office or City Administrative Officer shall be deemed to refer to the Office of Administrative and Research Services, or Director of the Office of Administrative and Research Services, except to the extent that the Charter has assigned the power or duty referred to in the provision to a different department, office, board or officer.
