Within five days after the removal of any identifiable vehicle by the Department of Transportation pursuant to this chapter, said Department shall give notice to the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State of California identifying the vehicle or part thereof which has been removed. At the same time, there shall be transmitted by the Department of Transportation to the said Department of Motor Vehicles any evidence of registration of the vehicle which may be available, including but not limited to, registration card, certificates of ownership, or license plates.
