The provisions of this article shall apply to temporary and job-to-job assignments of work on any day during the week, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, regardless of what hour an officer or employee is required to report for work. No payment under this article shall be made to any person who uses a city-owned vehicle or who is reimbursed for transportation expenses under Article 2 of this chapter for travel between his home and a temporary assignment.
