The purpose of this Sub-Chapter is to provide the legislative enactments required under Public Law 92-500, as amended, and applicable federal regulations for the acceptance of construction grants, to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the City wastewater system which will interfere with the operation of the system or contaminate the resulting sludge, to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the City wastewater system which will pass through the system, inadequately treated, into receiving waters or the atmosphere or otherwise be incompatible with the system, to improve the opportunity to recycle and reclaim wastewaters and sludges from the system and to provide for equitable distribution of the cost of the City wastewater system.
