It is unlawful for any person to cut, carve, break, transplant, remove, mutilate or otherwise damage or kill any tree on city property without necessary permit(s) and without abiding by the arboricultural regulations of the city; to attach any rope, wire, nails, advertising posters or other contrivance to any tree on city property; to allow any gaseous, liquid or solid substance which is harmful to trees to come in contact with any tree on city property; or to set fire to or permit any fire to burn when such fire or the heat thereof will injure any portion of any tree on city property.
