The following words and phrases whenever used in this code shall be construed as defined in this section unless a different meaning is specifically defined and more particularly directed to the use of such words and phrases:
CITY: City of Logan.
COUNCIL: Logan City municipal council.
COUNTY: Cache County.
PERSON: Means and includes individuals, firms, corporations, partnerships and every type of association.
STATE: State of Utah.
STREET: Means and includes avenues, alleys, courts, sidewalks and other public thoroughfares including the entire width from property line to property line.
TENSES: Any verb in the present tense includes the future. (Prior code §§ 1-1-7, 1-1-8, 1-1-12 – 1-1-16)
