All persons concerned in the commission of an act, defined by these revised ordinances to be a misdemeanor, whether they directly commit the act constituting a misdemeanor or aid and abet in its commission, or, not being present, have advised and encouraged its commission, and all persons counseling, advising or encouraging children under the age of fourteen (14) years, lunatics or idiots to commit any act defined as a misdemeanor in this code, or who by fraud, contrivance or force occasion the drunkenness of another for the purpose of causing such person to commit such offense or who, by threats, menace, demand or coercion, compel another to commit any such offense are principals in the offense so committed.
