A. The general function of the Department of Environmental Health and Solid Waste Management is to perform all functions of the City with respect to health and sanitation. The department has control of the proper operation of the City's sewage lagoon and solid waste disposal systems. It shall perform all other functions as required by law.
B. The Director of the Department of Environmental Health and Solid Waste Management shall direct and control the sewer lagoon system and the solid waste disposal activities of the City. The Director of the Department of Environmental Health and Solid Waste Management shall conduct inspections and tests where desirable or necessary. The Director shall perform all other functions as required by law. (Prior Code § 2-1-2(f)(4))
