§ 157.287 PURPOSE AND INTENT.
It is the purpose of §§ 157.286 to 157.292 of this chapter to regulate the location of dish-type satellite signal-receiving antennas within the city to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the city. It is the general policy of the city that such structures shall be considered as accessory structures and shall comply with the regulations for accessory buildings and structures in the appropriate zoning district as specified in the Official and Supplementary Schedules of Permitted Uses and Dimensional Requirements. It is further recognized that the location of such structures require a direct line of sight in order to effectively receive programming, and this allows for variances from location requirements in the same manner as other variances from yard or other dimensional requirements for accessory structures.
