The purpose of this subchapter is to promote the public safety, health, and general welfare through the regulation of all types of signs. It is intended to promote a safe, attractive, enhanced business environment that protects property values and preserves the natural scenic beauty of the area. It is further intended to reduce sign or advertising distraction and obstructions that may contribute to traffic accidents, reduce hazards that may be caused by overhanging or projecting signs.
