§ 157.147 VISIBILITY AT STREETS, ALLEYS AND INTERSECTIONS.
   To protect the public safety, the following provisions apply in all districts and shall apply to buildings, structures, vegetation, plantings, fences, hedges, trees, walls and similar obstructions or potential obstructions at or near streets, alleys, and intersections:
   (A)   On corner lots where a street intersects with another street no building, structure, vegetation, fence, hedge, planting, tree, wall or similar obstruction shall be erected or maintained at a height between 2 1/2 and 10 feet above the curb or street grade and within the triangular area formed by connecting points measured 20 feet from the intersection of the two streets from the curbs or the edge of the traveled portion of the street or roadbed as shown on the following diagram:

   (B)   On corner lots where a street intersects with an alley or an alley intersects with another alley, no building, structure, vegetation, fence, hedge, planting, tree, wall or similar obstruction shall be erected or maintained at a height between two 1/2 and ten feet above the curb or street grade and within the triangular area formed by connecting points measured eight feet from the intersection of the street and alley or the alley and another alley from the curbs or the edge of the traveled portion of the street or alley or roadbed as shown on the following diagram:

   (C)   In any case where a street or alley intersects with another street or alley at less than a single point thus forming a curved street intersection, the plane surface figure shall be considered a parabola and obstructions shall be regulated using the following procedure:
      (1)   The axis of the parabola shall be determined;
      (2)   A line shall be drawn that intersects with the foremost point of intersection of the parabola and the axis at a right angle;
      (3)   From this point of intersection, the following distances shall be measured backward along the axis into the lot or parcel in question:
         (a)   Where the above regulation would otherwise require a 20 foot measurement, the distance along the axis is established at 14 feet and two inches; and
         (b)   Where the above regulation would require an eight foot measurement, the distance along the axis is established at five feet and eight inches.
      (4)   When this distance along the axis has been established, a line parallel to the line established in subsection (2) above and at a right angle to the point established in either (3)(a) or (3)(b) above shall be drawn and extend to the point of intersection with the streets to establish the area within which obstructions are prohibited.
   (D)   The following diagram shall be used in the interpretation of the foregoing provisions:

   (E)   The provisions of this section shall specifically apply to existing trees and other vegetation and plantings. The Zoning Inspector may require that trees and vegetation be trimmed between the height of two 1/2 and ten feet so that the requirements of items (a) and (b) above shall be met.
