§ 157.070 ACTION BY COUNCIL.
   After the public hearing by Council on the proposed amendment, it shall consider the recommendations of the Commission and the public testimony and vote to approve the amendment, approve the amendment with modifications or reject the amendment. If the action differs from, violates, or departs from the recommendation of the Commission, the amendment shall not be effective unless passed or approved by not less than three-fourths of the members of Council. If the action is in conformance with the recommendation of the Commission, a majority of the members of Council shall so vote.
