§ 94.08 DISCHARGING FIREARMS.
   (A)   No person, except as specified in division (B), (C), (D), (E), (F) or (G) below, shall discharge any air gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol, or other firearm or any sling shot or bow and arrow or cross bow within the corporate limits of the municipality.
   (B)   Paint ball guns may be used and discharged in indoor facilities designed for their use within the corporate limits of the municipality. The Director of Public Safety may issue regulations for the operation of such facilities.
   (C)   Archery activities involving the long bow, recurve bow and compound bow are permitted within the corporate limits, provide that written permission has been obtained, in advance, from the Director of Public Safety. Prior to conducting the archery activity the sponsor must provide to the Director of Public Safety, written evidence of liability insurance and a written plan describing the location and supervision of the archery activity. If the Director of Public Safety is satisfied as to the insurance coverage, the location and the supervision, then he or she will issue a permit for the activity, which permit shall expire one year from the date thereof.
   (D)   The discharge of firearms within an indoor firing range properly established pursuant to the city’s Zoning Code. The Chief of Police may periodically inspect and issue regulations for the operations of such facilities. If all the specifications provided by the Chief of Police are met, then he or she will issue a permit for the activity, which permit shall expire one year from the date thereof.
   (E)   Law enforcement officials in the proper enforcement of the law and for law enforcement training purposes;
   (F)    Any person in the proper exercise of the right of self-defense;
   (G)   Or when otherwise lawfully authorized.
   (H)   Whoever violates division (A) is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
