§ 93.09 BANNING WILLOWS, COTTONWOOD AND POPLAR; TREES NOT PERMITTED.
   (A)   No person shall plant any tree, as hereinafter listed, within 100 feet of any public utility line above and below the ground and any sewer, drain, or manhole in the city:
      (1)   Populus (all species and varieties).
      (2)   Salix (all species and varieties).
   (B)   Trees not permitted (in all locations throughout the city):
      (1)   Box Elder.
      (2)   Silver Maple.
      (3)   Elms.
      (4)   Tree of Heaven.
      (5)   Catalpa.
      (6)   Ash.
      (7)   Russian Olive.
      (8)   Willow.
      (9)   Female Ginko.
   (C)   Trees not permitted within street right-of- way:
      (1)   Basswood.
      (2)   Cottonwood.
      (3)   Sweet Gum.
      (4)   Horse Chestnut (nut bearing).
      (5)   Norway Maple.
   (D)   Shrubs not permitted (in all locations throughout the city):
      (1)   Buckthorn.
      (2)   Honeysuckle, specifically Lonicera, Mackii, and Lonicera Tartarica.
   (E)   This list is not all inclusive and the Shade Tree Commission shall retain the right and responsibility to maintain a list of prohibited trees that limits emerging threats such as species specific diseases and pests that are otherwise uncontrollable.
