Sidewalks and curbs shall be repaired to conform to the walks and curbs they adjoin unless such adjoining walks are not in conformity with the requirements of the Zoning Code, Chapter 150. If adjoining walks are not in conformity with the Zoning Code, Chapter 157, so much of the sidewalk as in the opinion of the director of public service and safety requires repairs shall be reconstructed to conform to such requirements; provided, that temporary repairs may be made of such materials and in such manner as may be approved by the director of public service and safety.
