§ 76.37 COLLECTIONS OF COINS.
   (A)   The chief of police shall employ the parking meter attendants to collect the coins deposited in parking meters. In collecting such coins the persons so employed shall remove the coins from each parking meter and deliver the same to the service clerk of the city. The service clerk shall count the coins and deliver the same to the city treasurer. The treasurer shall deposit the same to the credit of the parking meter fund of the city.

   (B)   In addition to collecting coins deposited in parking meters and issuing parking citations, the duties of the parking meter attendants shall include:
      (1)   The parking meter attendant shall report all malfunctioning parking meters to the service director;
      (2)   To the extent reasonably possible, the parking meter attendant shall make all necessary minor repairs to the parking meters and otherwise keep them in good working order and repair; and
      (3)   The parking meter attendant shall report all repairs to the service director.
   (C)   The attendants shall be uniformed in a manner denoting the function being performed and consistent with the city's police uniforms, but which uniforms shall clearly denote the title of the attendant. The attendant shall not be armed.
