§ 33.22 RESIDENCY; AGE AND CONDITION.
   (A)   The members of the reserve police force may reside anywhere in the State of Ohio, but need not be residents of the city. A candidate who is 20 years and six months may receive a police commission for training purposes and shall be known as a Reserve Officer Cadet. No Reserve Officer Cadet shall perform police duties. When the Reserve Officer Cadet has been fully certified and has attained the age of 21 years, he or she may be appointed as a Reserve Police Officer.
   (B)   Pursuant to authority of R.C. §124.41, no person is eligible to receive an original appointment to the Police Department as a policeman or policewoman when he or she is 45 years old or older.
