§ 33.15 RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY FIRE CALLS OUTSIDE CITY.
The director of public service and safety of the city is authorized, by verbal order or subject to written regulations, to provide for the response of the fire division of the city to emergency fire calls outside the city, even though such response is to areas not covered by a mutual aid or fire protection contract. If such written regulations as may be issued by the director do not permit a response to any fire emergency call outside the city, and after a reasonable attempt to contact the service director to request a verbal order authorizing a response, the director cannot be contacted, then the highest ranking fire division employee available is authorized to permit such a response to a fire emergency call outside the city.
