(A) The Lieutenants shall be on duty 24 consecutive hours and off-duty the next 48 consecutive hours with the exception that during the absence of one, the other lieutenants of the division may be assigned by the Chief of the Fire Division to work 24 hours after each off period of 24 hours.
(B) The firefighters may be on duty 24 consecutive hours and off-duty the next 48 consecutive hours with the exception that during the absence of one, the other firefighters of the division may be assigned by the Chief of the Fire Division to work 24 hours after each off-period of 24 hours. Firefighters assigned to work eight hours of duty shall work a normal work schedule of 40 hours per week.
