§ 33.03 PRIVATE POLICE OFFICERS.
   (A)   The director of public service and safety is authorized to commission private police officers under authority of R.C.§737.05.
   (B)   The following rules and regulations shall apply to such private police officers and their commissioning:
      (1)   Private police officers shall receive no additional compensation for their duties as such;
      (2)   Private police officers shall not be on the classified list of the police division, and shall not be eligible for participation in the police relief and pension fund;
      (3)   Private police officers shall have all the powers and exercise all the duties provided by law for police officers in preserving the peace, protecting persons and property, and obeying and enforcing all ordinances of the city and all criminal laws of the state, and shall exercise such powers with reference to the property, employees, and operations of any person, organization, or corporation in the city retaining the services of such private police officers.
