§ 30.03 CHAIRPERSON; POWERS AND DUTIES; ABSENCE.
   The Village Board Chairperson shall be selected at the December Board meeting in each year by the Village Board from its own membership. The Village Board Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Village Board. In the absence of the Village Board Chairperson, the Village Board shall elect one of its own body to occupy the place temporarily, who shall hold the title of Chairperson pro tempore of the Village Board. The Chairperson and Chairperson pro tempore shall have the same powers and privileges as other members of the Board. The Chairperson shall cause the ordinances of the Board to be printed and published for the information of the inhabitants. The Village Chairperson shall also perform all duties of his or her office in accordance with the laws of the state and the ordinances of the village. The qualifications for the Village Board Chairperson shall be the same general qualifications that apply to the Village Board members.
