Sec. 3.5. Compensation of Mayor and Councilmen.
The City Council may fix its own compensation and allowances, and the compensation and allowances of the Mayor, in such sums as maybe just and reasonable, effective following the next regular municipal election for seats on the City Council. The compensation and allowances of the Mayor shall not be reduced during the then current term of office.
