(A) The parking meters installed in the parking meter zones established in this division shall be placed upon the curb or edge of the sidewalk immediately adjacent to the individual parking places established pursuant to this division. Each parking meter shall be placed or set in such manner as to show or display by a signal that the parking space aforesaid adjacent to the meter is or is not legally in use.
(B) Each parking meter installed shall, when operated, indicate by its dial pointer the remaining amount of legal parking time.
(C) On the expiration of the legal parking time, the parking meter shall indicate illegal or overtime parking.
