§ 674.03 NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
Notwithstanding the penalty contained in § 674.02(c), and in addition thereto, when the Village Administrator ascertains that noxious weeds are growing on any lot or land in the village, he or she shall cause a notice to be given to the owner of such lot or land that noxious weeds are growing thereon and must be destroyed by any of the methods set forth in § 674.02, and that destruction must be completed within five days after receipt of such notice. It shall be sufficient to mail such notice to the owner of such lot or land as listed in the County Auditor’s tax lists at the mailing address as shown on such tax lists, or by posting the notice in a prominent place on the lot or land where the noxious weeds are growing. If no mailing address is shown on the County Auditor’s records, or notice by posting on the property is not given, it shall be sufficient to publish such notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the village.
