(a) The Supervisor in the Department of Service is to instruct employees, but is not to perform employees’ work outside normal supervisory functions, except under emergency conditions. Work rules and policies are to be established by the Village Administrator.
(b) The position of mechanic in the Department shall not be open to seniority. An employee holding the mechanic rank shall be required to attend training enrichment programs.
(c) An employee temporarily transferred to another job classification shall receive the higher of his or her own rate or the hourly rate of the classification to which he or she is assigned for that day.
