(a) The Department of Service shall consist of the Service Department Supervisor and such other employees as Council from time to time determines.
(b) Temporary or permanent help may be added with the approval of Council. The permanent help rate of pay shall be as established by Council on a three-month probationary period. After the probationary period, the top rate of the employee’s job classification shall be granted. During the probationary period, the employee does not qualify for benefits, with the exception of hospitalization.
(c) The salary for the position of Service Department Supervisor shall be determined by Council from time to time. It shall be a straight salary with no additions for overtime or call-outs.
(d) There is hereby established the position of village landscaper, the salary of which shall be the same as that of a laborer in the Service Department, but who shall report directly to the Village Administrator.
(e) Employee benefits for the administrative staff who work in Village Hall shall be the same as the benefits provided to Service Department employees set forth in this Chapter 248.
