§ 246.03 PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION.
   (a)   Compensation of Fire Department personnel, as provided for from time to time by Council, may be paid out of the general fund of the village or such fire levy funds as may be approved by the electors of the village.
   (b)   Fire Department personnel will be paid in compliance with 29 U.S.C. § 207(k), overtime if applicable and when approved by the Fire Chief or their designee will be paid for all hours worked in excess of 212 hours in 28 days at one and one-half times the applicable hourly rate.
   (c)   Fire Department personnel will be paid bi-weekly with the standard work week of Sunday through Saturday.
   (d)   Part-time personnel will be scheduled by signing up for shifts in a manner approved by the Fire Chief.
   (e)   Full-time personnel will be considered salary, non-exempt and will work 53 hours per week (averaged - 2,756 hours per year). An EDO will be given to maintain the averaged 53 hours work week. Scheduling of the EDO is at the discretion of the Fire Chief.
   (f)   Full-time and part-time personnel who respond to off-duty emergency incidents (recalls) will be paid at two times their hourly rate for the first hour and at their applicable hourly rate for the duration of the incident. Volunteer personnel will be compensated at the rate approved by ordinance.
   (g)   Only actual hours of work and hours paid for vacation will be considered when calculating overtime.
