Every occupant of a dwelling unit, commercial unit or rooming unit shall be responsible for the following, as applied to that unit which he or she occupies or controls:
(a) An occupant of a unit shall give the owner thereof or his or her agent or employee access to any part of such unit or its premises at any reasonable hour for the purpose of making such repairs or alterations as are necessary to effect compliance with this Housing Code or any lawful order issued pursuant to this Housing Code.
(b) An occupant shall provide a sufficient number of approved containers, except when such containers are provided by the owner as required by § 1480.57, for the storage of garbage and trash between the days of collection.
(c) An occupant shall keep the occupied area and all facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. A clean and sanitary condition includes, but is not limited to, the following.
(1) Floors, floor coverings and other walking surfaces shall be kept clean and free of dirt, filth, garbage, fecal matter, litter, refuse or any other unsanitary matter.
(2) Walls, ceilings, windows and doors shall be kept clean and free of dirt, greasy film, soot and other unsanitary matter.
(3) Plumbing fixtures shall be kept in a clean, sanitary and operable condition. No materials shall be deposited in any such fixture which may result in the obstruction of such fixture or of any lines connected thereto.
(4) Cook stoves, refrigerators, cabinets and other furnishings shall be kept clean and free of dirt, greasy film, soot and any other unsanitary conditions.
(d) An occupant shall dispose of trash and garbage or store such wastes in proper containers in a neat and sanitary manner.
(e) No occupant shall destroy, deface, damage, impair or carry away any of the facilities, equipment, appurtenances or any part of the dwelling, dwelling unit or rooming unit.
(f) No occupant shall obstruct, in any manner, any means of egress from any portion of the premises.
