§ 6-3-1 GENERAL AND SPECIFIC PLANS.
   No subdivision shall be approved unless the Planning Commission and Council find that the proposed subdivision, together with the provisions for its design and improvements, is consistent with the general plan or any adopted specific plan. A proposed subdivision shall be consistent with a general plan or specific plan only if such plan is adopted and the proposed subdivision or land use is compatible with the objectives, policies, general land uses and programs specified in such a plan.
