§ 31.080 OATH OF OFFICE; BOND.
   (A)   The City Clerk, before he or she enters upon the duties of the office, shall take the oath prescribed for other city officers.
   (B)   He or she shall execute a bond to the city in the penal sum of $3,000 with the sureties as shall be approved by the City Council, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the office, and the payment of all monies that may be received by him or her, according to law and the ordinances of the city. This bond shall be filed with the City Treasurer.
