Every person desiring a license to sell or give away cigarettes or cigarette papers shall register his or her name with the City Clerk with his or her residence, occupation or business, and the place where the license is to be located, and, in the case of a company or firm, the name of the persons composing the same shall also be registered. Upon the applicant complying with the above provision and upon his or her paying to the City Clerk the sum of $100 or at that rate per annum, he or she shall be entitled to receive a license in due form for the purpose stated above, but all licenses issued hereunder will expire on the June 30 following the date of issuance.
