Whoever shall resist or in any way hinder or prevent the Lake Marshal in the discharge of his or her duties or whoever shall endeavor to do so, or who in any manner assists any person in the custody of the Marshal to escape or attempt to escape from that custody, or who shall attempt to rescue any person in that custody, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as the law provides.
