No person shall fire or discharge any firearm of any description within the limits of zones A, B, C, and D except duly authorized police officers of the city in the performance of their duties. The city may license or authorize any person, within specifically limited areas and at designated times, to use firearms, traps, or other means to destroy any predatory or otherwise undesirable animal, bird, or aquatic life, and for specifically limited hunting purposes.
