§ 96.103 LIFE PRESERVERS REQUIRED.
   It is unlawful to operate any watercraft unless there is 1 Coast Guard-approved life preserver ring buoy, buoyant vest, or buoyant cushion in good and service condition and readily accessible for each person on board. Approved devices are identified by the “Laboratory USCG” inspection label and numbers. Each boat occupant 6 years of age and under must wear a life preserver while the boat is in operation on the reservoir.
