The City Lake Marshal and the Deputy Lake Marshals appointed pursuant to this subchapter shall, at the time of their appointment and before they enter upon the duties of that employment, take the oath prescribed by law for officers of this type and shall give bond to the city in the amount to be established by the corporate authorities with sureties to be approved by the corporate authorities and conditioned as required by law.
