(A) For the purpose of this title, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPARTMENT. The Police Department of the city acting directly or through its duly authorized officers and agents.
(B) Any words or phrases relating to motor vehicles and traffic not defined in this chapter shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the State Motor Vehicle Code, ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, §§ 1-100 et seq.
