§ 38.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Violation of any provision of this chapter for which no other penalty is provided shall, upon conviction, be punishable as provided in § 10.99 of this code.
   (B)   To the extent that violations of the provisions of § 38.29 of this code constitute violations of the State Criminal Code of 1961, as amended, they shall be punishable as provided therein. That penalty shall be in addition to any civil sanctions, and in addition thereto any officer, employee, or elected official as described in § 38.29 convicted of violating any of the provisions of the State Criminal Code of 1961, as amended, for actions prohibited under that section or reasonably related thereto, shall forfeit the right to his or her public office, trust, or employment and shall be removed therefrom.
