(A) No person shall house, keep, or maintain more than four (4) dogs or cats, or any combination thereof, over the age of four (4) months within the Village, with the following limitations and exceptions:
1. Residential dwelling units within a multi-family building, as defined by the Village's Building Code, shall be limited to not more than one dog and one cat over the age of four (4) months.
2. Limitations on the number of dogs and cats shall not apply to zoological parks, performing animal exhibitions, educational institutions, veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, or as otherwise provided in this chapter or within the Village's Zoning Code. (Ord. 2018-4801, 12-17-2018)
