9-2-1: PURPOSE:

It is the purpose of the Village to protect animals from neglect and abuse, to protect residents from annoyance and injury to persons and animals, to assist in providing housing for animals in the custody of the Village, to cover the cost of caring for animals and to establish a program to discourage the excessive multiplication of animals.
