8-1-1: POLLUTION OF WATERWAYS PROHIBITED:
It shall be unlawful and a nuisance for any person to deposit or dump in any waterway located within the village any grass clippings, brush, tree limbs or stumps, topsoil, sand, or clay or other yard waste; motor oil, paint, paint thinner, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, or hazardous wastes; soap or detergents; or cans, bottles, glass, wooden or paper boxes, crates, old metals or alloys, stone, ashes, brick, tires, garbage and the like. The term "waterways" shall include rivers, creeks, streams, or wetlands; inlets, catch basins, or other parts of the storm sewer system; or ditches or swales.
Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures” for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
