7-7-3-4: RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Water supply systems shall be installed to comply with the rules and regulations, specifications and standard details of the village, as amended from time to time, and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state of Illinois current "Standard Specifications For Water And Sewer Main Construction In Illinois", and shall also be in compliance with the following:
   (A)   Trenching: All trenching done under and in existing streets, alleys, walks and drives shall be backfilled with an aggregate trench backfill and the surface repaired in accordance with the village's standard details and requirements currently in effect and as amended from time to time.
   (B)   Construction Of Water Mains:
      1.   Water Mains Constructed By Owner Or Subdivider: Any water main which is constructed at the expense of an owner or subdivider shall extend from the existing main across the entire width of the lot or lots to be served and shall be provided with necessary valves, fittings and hydrants as set forth in national board of fire underwriters current handbook "Standard Grading Schedule–Water Supply" and as required by the village engineer. No water main of less than six inches (6") in size shall be constructed.
      2.   Water Mains Constructed By Village: Any water main which is constructed at the expense of the village shall extend from existing main across the entire width of the lot or lots to be served and prior to any connection thereto, the village shall be reimbursed for the cost of the laying of the main at the rate as established by the annual fee ordinance per front foot of property.
