7-5-24: USE OF GROUND WATER PROHIBITED:
Effective December 17, 2008, the use of, or attempted use of, ground water from within the boundaries of the property described below, as a potable water supply (which shall mean any water used for human or domestic consumption including, but not limited to, water used for drinking, bathing, swimming, washing dishes or preparing foods), by the installation or drilling of wells or by any other method, is hereby prohibited. This prohibition expressly includes the village of Lisle.
The general area covered by this restriction is the property south of Ogden Avenue, west of I-355, north of Maple Avenue, and east of Kingston Avenue; and in addition the following addresses: 4587 to 4593 Hatch Lane; even numbered addresses only between 4558 and 4576 Basswood Lane; 5505 to 5540 Maple Court; and odd addresses only between 535 to 569 Maple Avenue. The area is within the corporate limits of the village of Lisle. The exact area of the restriction is fully depicted on exhibit A attached to the ordinance codified herein.
Any person (which shall mean any individual, partnership, copartnership, firm, company, limited liability company, corporation, association, joint stock company, trust, estate, political subdivision, or any other legal entity, or their legal representatives, agents or assigns) violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine as provided for in section 7-5-18 of this chapter.
