7-5-20: DISCONTINUANCE OF WATER SERVICE:
Upon receipt by the village of written notice and verification from the department of environmental concerns of the county of DuPage (department) that:
   (A)   A rate or charge for the sewerage service has become delinquent, and
   (B)   The department has afforded the delinquent party notice that the party's water service will be shut off if the delinquency is not cured, and
   (C)   1. The department has afforded the delinquent party an opportunity to be heard regarding all objections the delinquent party may have to the rates or charges for said water service;
      2.   And further, upon determination that the delinquent party is provided water services by the village, the public works director shall cause the water services to the premises of the delinquent party to be discontinued. Upon written notice from the department that the delinquency has been cured, the public works director shall restore water services to the subject premises.
      3.   The village clerk shall charge the department with the reasonable costs for any such discontinuance and resumption of water services.
      4.   The current payment by the department for such costs shall be a condition precedent to termination of any other municipal water services requested by the department. (Ord. 95-2684, 9-5-1995)
