7-5-9: LOCATION AND PROTECTION OF METERS:
   (A)   Meters shall be located in any easily accessible place approved by the public works director and protected from frost. When meters are injured by frost or otherwise, the public works director must be notified at once. The cost of repairing meters injured by frost shall be paid for by the persons owning the premises.
   (B)   Where building space to house a meter is not available, an outside meter vault may be installed when approved by the public works director. Such meter vault shall be constructed of the size, type and kind of materials as required and approved by the public works director and shall include shutoff valves on each side of the meter with provision for easy removal of the meter. In addition, a remote meter reader shall be installed in locations as directed by the public works director and shall be of the type as approved by said public works director. (Ord. 95-2684, 9-5-1995)
