7-3-2: COMPLIANCE REQUIRED:
All manners of traffic thoroughfares other than those for which requirements for design and construction are established in and by the village's subdivision and off street parking and loading regulations, shall meet the requirements of this chapter as set forth herein 1 .
   (A)   Roadway Grading, Construction: All roadways shall be graded full width and constructed of either reinforced concrete pavement, class I bituminous surface and crushed stone base, or class I bituminous surface and bituminous aggregate mixture base of minimum Marshall stability of 1700. All roadways shall be of the minimum thickness as set forth in the standard detail sheets of the village, as from time to time amended 2 .
   (B)   Curbs And Gutters: All roadways shall be constructed with reinforced concrete combination curb and gutter of the height, width and type required by the village as shown on the standard detail sheets.
   Concrete curb and gutter shall be reinforced longitudinally for the full length of the curb and gutter and as shown on the standard detail sheets of the village. All work shall be constructed in accordance with said standard detail sheets of the village.
   (C)   Width Of Roadways: All roadways shall be a minimum width of twenty seven feet (27'), face to face of curb, and constructed as indicated herein.
   If the village engineer determines a necessary roadway width wider than twenty seven feet (27'), the roadway shall be widened to the width required by the engineer. The width wider than the minimum shall be based on the anticipated traffic volume and type of traffic to be generated and shall be based on a sound engineering and planning standard.
   (D)   Grades: The grades of any roadway shall not be less than five-tenths percent (0.5%). (Ord. 504, 2-19-1974)
