6-4-15: OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
The following requirements are applicable to all subdivisions within the jurisdiction of the commission:
   (A)   Sidewalks: Sidewalks at least five feet (5') wide and constructed of concrete pavement with a minimum thickness of four inches (4") shall be constructed on both sides of every street.
   (B)   Driveways: Within the village limits, the subdivider shall install paved driveway approaches from the lot line to the street for each connection to the street with concrete pavement of minimum thickness of six inches (6"), bituminous material of minimum thickness of six inches (6") or crushed stone base of minimum thickness of six inches (6") and two inches (2") of bituminous surface.
   Driveways shall be constructed so as not to impede the surface drainage system and where curbs are not required, the subdivider shall provide one of the following types of improvements if necessary to provide for surface drainage:
      1.   A corrugated metal pipe at least twelve inches (12") in diameter and fourteen feet (14') in length to be placed for each driveway approach. Where in the opinion of the village engineer a larger than twelve inch (12") diameter or fourteen feet (14') length pipe is required, same shall be provided as the village engineer requires.
      2.   A properly dipped or swaled concrete pavement fourteen feet (14') in length, of at least six inches (6") thickness, at the entrance of each driveway is designed so as not to create a hazard to the underparts of automobiles. (Ord. 365, 11-3-1970; amd. 1979 Code)

   (E)   Street Name Signs: It shall be the duty of each and every subdivider of each and every subdivision in the village to erect street identification signs indicating the names of streets at his own costs as indicated on the final plat within a reasonable time after the approval thereof 1 . The signs shall be placed as close to the intersection of the street right of way as practicable. The corner on which the sign is to be erected shall receive the prior approval of the village.    (G)   Letter Of Credit: A letter of credit shall be posted with the village in compliance with section 5-18-6 of this code. (Ord. 2000-3200, 2-21-2000)
