6-4-14: UTILITIES AND DRAINAGE:
The following requirements are applicable to all subdivisions within the jurisdiction of the commission:
   (A)   Water Supply: All residential, commercial, industrial and community facility buildings or structures shall be served by an adequate water supply and distribution system. The design of the system shall be in accordance with the requirements of the state of Illinois department of health, national board of fire underwriters and in accordance with the current standard details 1 , regulations and specifications of the village.
   (B)   Sanitary Sewers: Sanitary sewers shall be constructed in accordance with the standard details 2 .
   (C)   Storm Sewers: Adequate provisions shall be made for proper drainage of stormwater. The design of the drainage system within the development shall anticipate and provide capacity for other drainage from naturally tributary land. Such design shall provide adequate capacity for transmitting such drainage from the other tributary areas on the basis of the ultimate development of such other tributary areas, but such drainage system need not make provision for the retention of drainage from other tributary areas. The storm sewer system shall be designed in accordance with the current standard details, regulations and specifications of the village. (Ord. 365, 11-3-1970; amd. 1979 Code)
   (D)   Underground Lines Required: All utility distribution lines for broadband telecommunications, electric, and gas service in the subdivision shall be placed underground entirely throughout a subdivided area. Subject to the foregoing requirement to place utility distribution lines underground, installation of such facilities shall be made in compliance with the applicable orders, rules and regulations of the state commerce commission now or hereafter effective, and the subdivider shall be responsible for compliance with rules and regulations now and hereafter effective and filed with the commission pursuant to the state public utilities act, or any public utility whose service will be required for the subdivision with respect to the provision of such facilities.
   (E)   Location Of Utility Lines: Underground broadband telecommunications, electric and gas service facilities shall be placed within easements or dedicated public ways in a manner which will not conflict with other underground services. Further, all aboveground service facilities, as defined in title 5, "Zoning Regulations", of this code shall be located so as to minimize the aesthetic impact on the environment and create no hazard to the public. The utility lines shall be parallel to and not less than twelve inches (12") from the property lines. Corner markers as required in this code shall not be disturbed by the installation of utility lines.
