Where a proposed park, playground or other recreational area, proposed school site or other public ground under the adopted comprehensive plan of the village is located in whole or in part within the proposed subdivision, such proposed public ground or part, if not dedicated to the village, shall be reserved for a period of not less than five (5) years from the date of final approval of the final plat by the commission, for acquisition by purchase or otherwise.
