It shall be unlawful to operate or conduct any antique, other secondhand or junk store in the village without first having obtained a license therefor or without first complying with the provisions of this chapter.
The initial first year nonrefundable application fee and annual license fee shall be as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures”, and no license shall be issued except upon payment of all applicable fees.
There shall be no refund of any portion of the annual license fee imposed under this chapter for any portion of a year during which the licensee ceases to operate any antique or other secondhand store within the village.
Dealers in used books, used musical instruments, and used vehicles are exempt from the provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 2009-4257, 6-1-2009; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
